
Mr James Parbery
Violin Teacher
Mr James Parbery is a second year BMUS performance student at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music studying violin under the tutelage of Professor Ole Bohn.
James started playing the violin at the age of four and has since performed regularly in orchestral positions in orchestra’s such as the Sydney Youth Orchestra and The Occasional Performance Symphonia and as concert master with the Western Sydney Youth Orchestra, Penrith String Orchestra, Penrith Symphony Orchestra and Blue Mountains Orchestra. He has also played in many musicals and opera’s such as a recent staging of Handel’s Fairy Queen at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He continues to perform regularly in orchestras as well as performing in various chamber music settings, having performed works such as Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet, Schubert’s Death and the Maiden, a selection of Beethoven’s String Quartet’s and various chamber works by Australian Composer Peter Sculthorpe.
James also teaches privately in the Blue Mountains and in schools around the greater Sydney region.
James is working hard to pursue his dream of becoming a professional musician, taking as many opportunities to perform and learn more about the musical world as he can in both a national and international setting.
