Mr Justin Leong
Violin Teacher
Justin was born in Perth, WA and commenced his violin studies at the age of 10. Whilst in Perth, he was awarded prizes in numerous eisteddfods and competitions. In 2006, he moved to Sydney to commence his tertiary studies in violin performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, under the tutelage of Alexandru Todicescu, and completed his studies in 2009.
Justin has performed extensively as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician. He was awarded his A.Mus.A and L.Mus.A in 2005 and 2007, respectively. He has performed with the Western Australian Youth Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra, Fremantle Chamber Orchestra and Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, among others. As a chamber musician, he has received tutoring from distinguished chamber groups such as the Brentano, Flinders, Goldner, Elias and Grainger String Quartets. Justin still performs regularly as a chamber and orchestral musician.
