Mr Haoren.Ma is currently a master student in the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, majoring in Tuba performance with Professor.Steve Rosse (Principle Tuba of Sydney Symphony Orchestra).  

Haoren.Ma graduated from the South China University of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in music performance meanwhile minoring in performance of Trombone&Euphonium.He also studied with Roger Bobo, Anne Jelle Visser, Øystein Baadsvik, Hans Nickel and Floyd Cooley.  

As a versatile and comprehensive solo tubaist, Haoren has performed ‘Concerto for tuba and Strings’ with the string musicians from Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. Haoren was also the  principle tuba of the SCUT Symphony Orchestra and he has founded his own Brass Quintet with  some international musicians while studying in China.

In addition to his performance experience, Haoren is also dedicated to education, teaching in a number of primary and secondary schools for private lessons and group class in Canton since 2015, and also conducting youth orchestra, wind orchestra and brass ensembles. A number of his students have got the excellent result on Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music(ABRSM) and the brass band he taught has won the gold prize on the Canton Music Festival in China.
